How Rankings Work
3v3 Live runs over 150 local events across the country each year. These events are a great way to spend a Saturday with friends and family.
When registering for local events, each age group includes two choices for registration — a higher bracket and a lower bracket. Teams that consider themselves to be more competitive should select the higher bracket.
Bracket Example (2008 team):
- • 2007/2008 Division — More competitive 2008 teams
- • 2008/2009 Division — Less competitive 2008 teams
All division placements will be reviewed by the tournament director. Teams may, at the sole discretion of the tournament director, be moved up or down to form the most competitive brackets possible.
Teams that play in the more competitive division earn a 60-point "play up" bonus.
Points Per Game:
Regional Championship Tournaments offer teams that want to step up to the next level of competition the chance to play top teams from a much larger geographical area in pursuit of being named Regional Champions! All Regional Champions earn FREE ENTRY into the 3v3 Live National Championships!
Points Per Game:
Promotion / Relegation of Premier Division
At the National Championships all teams in an age group will be seeded into pools based on current rankings. The top teams after pool play will be promoted to the Premier Division playoffs and moved to the Premier Division in the rankings for their age group. All other teams, regardless of previous classification, will be placed in the open playoffs and their age group's general rankings.

Rankings determine seeding at the National Championships — the higher your rank, the better your seeding.
